Chateau Laguiole is considered by many to be the finest handmade waiter-style corkscrew in the world. Created by Master Sommelier Guy Vialis this internationally famed wine opener has been the favorite by most of the world's best sommeliers since 1993.
Handmade in the village of Laguiole, France, the Forge de Laguiole "Sommeliers" as they are often called are the only high-end waiter-style corkscrews to feature the traditional shepherd's cross on most models.
The Grand Cru series was created to satisfy the need for a stylish and more durable wine opener. This model has the same characteristic as the classic but is more suitable for professional use (20/50 bottles per day). The reason for the added strength resides in the massif front top bolster, the part where the screw enters the handle.
