ABOUT THE PRODUCER:
“Over 20 years ago, our Founding Partner, Thomas Stolpman, discovered what we believe to be one of the greatest viticultural sites on earth. Hidden in the hills of California’s Central Coast, on a rare Limestone outcropping & unobstructed from the Pacific Ocean wind, this unique land is ideally suited to grow Syrah and Roussanne grapes. We are committed to preserving this natural environment for our vines through natural farming, dry farming, & sustainable employment. In the winery, we prefer native fermentation & minimal manipulation.”

ABOUT THE VINEYARDS:
A cold spring led to a moderate summer without significant heat spikes through harvest. Warmer San Luis Obispo grapes were picked early to catch the fruit fresh and lively. Waited for cold Santa Barbara County sites to slowly accumulate sugar and riper flavors. Without heatwaves, the acid levels hung high creating an “epic rosé vintage.”

ABOUT THE LABEL:
So Fresh
Grapes natively ferment whole, un-crushed, for a delicately high-toned profile. Harvested early for lighter mouthfeel and higher acidity, wines go to bottle early to capture purity and freshness without added sulfur.
While the main Love You Bunches wine continues to be a 100% carbonic fermentation of Sangiovese, in 2019 we began making Love You Bunches rose, where most of the fruit is pressed immediately for an extremely light-colored rosé.  Some grapes rest 12-24 hours whole, to pick up some color and texture from the skins and pulp.
